picture-2.pngWell it is hard to believe we are halfway done our time here in Kona and so far it has been amazing. God has been doing many things in our lives, both corporately and individually. Amy has grown tremendously in her knowledge of photography, Emma is learning new things each day about world culture, Abby is talking more and I am learning how to rest and not stress.
This morning while I was in a meeting I had a revelation. I saw how I was not being grateful for the gifts that I and we have as a family. I was embarrassed to tell people that we were in Hawaii doing a photo school and that I am, for this season a stay at home dad. I wanted to downplay this time as I felt unworthy of it. Now, this morning I realized that I am unworthy of it, but God has called and granted it to me none the less. I pray that I never suppress the blessings that God pours out on me.
If I were to highlight one thing in this post it would be an encouragement to me and you to be thankful and open to the good gifts that you have in your life. Don’t feel bad that others don’t have the same blessing, but let your blessings be an encouragement and a tool to bless others. I see that my life can be a blessing and an encouragement to others of God’s provision, and hopefully through that help others see the beautiful provision that God has given them.
On another note, we have a web site where you can see some of Amy’s pictures that she has taken here, just go to amyspix to see them. The photos come up randomly, so each time you refresh the page new photos come up.
Much thanks

Phil- Ok so lame me. I just figured out that your blog changed. That’s the problem with using bloglines to read blogs. I don’t often actually go to the blog anymore I just read articles in bloglines. When you switched I didn’t update bloglines so i haven’t gotten to read anything in a while. On a positive note its sort of like watching a whole season of a tv show at one time.

    Thank you! I needed that!
Also, I notice your “Albums I am Listening to” lists Robert Plant and Alison Krauss. My boyfriend made me listen to a song off of it the other day and I LOVED it. It’s a perfect mix because well, he is a HUGE led zeplin fan and adores robert plant and I love alison krauss. Perfect!
