On Jan. 6 I am headed out to Cambodia for a short time with some friends from YWAM San Francisco. I am very excited to get back into this country that I fell in love with 5+ years ago on a trip with some good friends from New Zealand. I am going on this trip to help set up some outreaches for YWAM San Francisco and Mission Adventures. We are also going meet with a few NGO’s (World Vision, IJM, and Hagar International). FInally I am going to ask Jesus to give me that same burning fire for Justice and Cambodia that I had a while ago, but see fading out.
Why else am I going to Cambodia? Well, cause I want to be where the poor are. I want to hold the orphan who is dying of HIV/AIDS, I want to sit with the poor, hungry child who lives on a garbage dump, and I want to look into the eyes of a women who was trafficked into prostitution and let her see that Jesus has not forgotten her. I need that back. I need my heart for justice re-kindled and set on fire. I need to be there to see what Jesus has next for me in this area.
I will be posting from the trip regularly, well as regularly as I have internet access. I am excited to hear and experience Jesus heart for his Children who are living in slavery and extreme poverty. Please keep me in your prayers as I am gone and I will keep you in the know.
Cheers
