Yesterday I finished my 15th summer of running, leading and facilitating trips with YWAM’s Mission Adventures program. Amy (my wife) and I facilitated 17 people from Innisfail, Alberta on a trip to the town of Nicoya in Costa Rica.

While we were there we taught on various issues of injustice using the Steps Of Justice guide, talked on what it looks like to be a follower of Jesus, and practiced the discipline of listening to Jesus and being obedient to what He is saying to us.

We also worked in a small community with no phone, internet or any other type of digital service of any kind. We worked in this community a total of 4 days and ran kids programs, invited the women of the community to a day spa that the girls on the team ran. We also did bible distribution to local communities as the YWAM crew there wants to get a bible into every house in the province of Guanacaste. We also built a playground for the school. It was an amazing time. In fact, it was one of the best times that I have had with a team doing ministry in a while.

I am truly grateful for the past 15 years that I have been given. I have a deep love for teams, a deep love for ministry and for helping guide students and adults into deeper relationship and revelation of Jesus Christ. Today I sit in a small hotel called the Treehouse Inn located in the town of Samara. Amy and I are taking 2 days to chill, celebrate and look back on the past 15 years of ministry. We are also looking forward to the next 15, whatever that holds. Today we are truly grateful for all we have and have been given.

Now I am going to get a coffee, thanks for stopping by, much love and see ya on the next post.
